I am a political theorist with broad interests in the history of political thought, political concepts, and public policy.
My current research is divided into two principal areas. First, my book manuscript and a few related papers examine modern theories of freedom and the ways that they struggle to account for and explain our social dependencies. Second, I am working on a number of interrelated institutional design projects about justice in U.S. education and healthcare policy.
I am currently a Lecturer in Political Science at the University of Georgia. I received my PhD from the Department of Politics at Brandeis University. Prior to that, I earned my BA from the Department of Political Science at U.C. Berkeley. I am originally from Los Angeles, California.
